App changes

We are constantly working to improve the EMDR Kit app. On this page you can see the changes we have implemented in the current and previous versions of the app.

Android versions

This update is primarily intended to ensure that the app recognizes components of the EMDR Kit Wireless model 4. The Pulsators and Light Tube of Model 4 have new Bluetooth chips and new functionalities. That is why it is important that the app recognizes which model the parts are from.
– The app recognizes the parts from model 4 with the new Bluetooth chips.
– When working with the new parts from model 4, you can now choose to let the LEDS flash in the chosen rhythm in the sub menu of the Pulsators.
– You can now choose between 20 speeds instead of 15

To be more in line with the Bluetooth guidelines and to improve the stability and reliability of connections, we have made the following changes:

Pressing the home/back button on your phone/tablet no ​​longer causes a disconnect: The parts will remain connected with Bluetooth.
Pressing the new disconnect button disconnects the connection from Bluetooth. This can also be done by completing the app completely.

Practically this means that the app does not need to reconnect with the components in-between sessions. This will improve reliability and stability. You can press disconnect at the end of the day. Or when, for example, a colleague wants to work with the EMDR Kit.

Furthermore, there are the following changes:
– In the connect menus there is now a connect button next to the signals to make it clearer that the signals can be clicked.
– Added a Reconnect all button. This button appears in the connect menu when the connection to components can be reestablished. You can press this button to reconnect to the previously connected parts.
– Added a Reconnect button in the separate connect menus to reconnect to this previously connected part.
– Forget all button added. With this button, the app forgets all existing connections and you can reconnect with other components.
– Forget button added in the separate connect menus to let individual parts be forgotten.
– Updates in the Bluetooth framework.
– App is ready for android 9.0
– Small visual changes.
– Landscape modus for tablets.

– You can choose different sounds for optimal aural stimulation.
– Connecting process has been improved.
– You can now connect the headphone trough the EMDR kit app connecting menu.

– The parts will now complete their rotation before changing the speed instead of starting instantly when changing the speed.
– Added a new option in the submenu of the Pulsators and Headphone that let’s you set their speed independently.
– Next to the time, you can now see how many sets (rotations) the Light tube has completed.
– The timer will now continue counting when changing speed while in a set.
– Improved the Bluetooth connection stability and reliability for Android devices significantly.
– Instead of trying to connect endlessly, the app will now prompt a message when connecting does not succeed.
– It is no longer possible to connect new parts during a set. This will increase the stability and reliability of the Bluetooth connection.

To work more in line with the Bluetooth guidelines and to improve the stability and reliability of connections, we have made the following changes:

There are also the following changes:

– In the connect menus there is now a connect button next to the Bluetooth strength signals to make it more clear that the signals can be clicked.
Reconnect all button added. This button appears in the connect menu if the connection to components is disconnected. You can press this button to reconnect to the previously connected components.
Reconnect button added in the individual connect menus to reconnect to this previously connected component.
Forget all button added. With this button the app forgets all existing connections and you can reconnect with other components.
Added a forget button in the individual connect menus to have individual components forgotten.
