What Is Online EMDR?
Online EMDR is standard EMDR therapy delivered through an online connection instead of in the same room. The eight-phase protocol does not change. What changes is how the bilateral stimulation reaches your client: instead of following your hand or a light bar across the room, they follow a moving dot on their own screen, hear alternating tones through their headphones, or feel alternating pulses from wireless pulsators they hold in their hands.
That shift only works if you stay in control. A dedicated online EMDR platform lets you set speed, direction, colour and sound from your own screen, while your client sees only the stimulus: no menus, no settings, no distractions. You watch their reactions in real time and adjust without interrupting the flow of the session.
